Jack of Spades: The Bald Eagle

#6 in the cards series, although it was the last one I drew

I finally finally finally finished!
all 12, whoo!

Why did it take me so long to do this one? I've had a blank page in the middle of my sketch pad for the past year... (I wanted to keep all of the drawings in order... don't ask...)
I had no idea how to do this one. I started wanting to do eagle chicks... but, they're ugly. There's no way around it, eagle chicks are ugly little things, so I kept putting it off.
When I *finally* sat down to draw it, I tried to come up with something not ugly. I thought maybe I'd do eggs, but those are boring. I finally settled on doing a juvenile.

I like the wings, although I probably could have put more work into the legs. And the background is, as always, half assed, but what else is new? I also made a mistake and did the lettering in red, what was I thinking? So I had to fix it digitally.
