Finished! Yes!
Nearly two years in the making, and it's done!

I did a bit of research to decide what animals to do for which suits....

Spades is equivalent to swords in tarot, which is the element of air. That's obviously birds of flight. I considered doing a golden falcon, but decided on the bald eagle as being more majestic.

Clubs is equivalent to wands or batons, and represents fire. Cats are associated with fire, in particular lions. Of course, I *had* to have lions, as they are the king of beasts, my favorite animals, and the original sketch was of a lion.

Diamonds = coins = earth. Woodland creatures, especially deer/elk, which are also the king of the woods, no?

Hearts = cups = water. Fish, obviously, but fish are lame, so sea mammals! I considered manatee, being from Florida, but settled on orca since they have such visually appealing coloring.



I've finished all of the cards I set out to do, but now I'm thinking I might want to do jokers and aces, as well...
But for not I'm done ^^
